Dubreuillosaurus valesdunensis

A medium-large Megalosaurid theropod from the Mid Jurassic Strata of France. It was once considered a species of the related Poekilopleuron. The only known specimen of Dubreuillosaurus measured around 5 meters (16 feet) in length, however it was only a subadult. The adult animal has been estimated, and restored here, at around 9 meters (30 feet) in length. This goes to show that not all of the animals of the Southern Europe Archipelago during the Jurassic were examples of insular dwarfism or gigantism. As a coastal carnivore, Dubreuillosaurus likely preyed and scavenged on a variety of aquatic and semi-aquatic prey, such as fish, turtles, and beached plesiosaurs and ichthyosaurs.
